I doubted a long time if I would send my bass to Martin to have led's built into it. I have a very beautifull Ken Smith 5-string neckthrough bass where I'm very fond off and I did'nt wan't it to be damaged or "rebuild". I asked Martin if it was possible to fit in blue frontleds as well as sideleds without making my bass look any different than original (except for the toglle switch off course). Martin reply'd me that he could do the job and because I saw Martin's work before on a Status King bass I owned I decided to go for it! Man, was I surprised when I saw my bass!! Just as promised there was - except for the toglle switch - nothing noticably changed on my bass and when switching on, the LEDs looked fantastic!!! I can only say Martin did a very good and professional job with the highest care for my bass! I'm very pleased with the LEDs and I can asure you : you're bass is in good hands!

I’m currently having a Telecaster built and Martin has just provided me with a custom body and finished a lovely old Schechter neck. I had a fairly distinct spec in terms of colour and finish (basically… I wanted it to look like a ‘58 Les Paul but shaped like a Tele!). I also requested a piece of artwork on it and he was really helpful in explaining my options and helping me choose the best way to go about it. Well… I’m over the moon. I had high expectations having seen some Sims guitars in the flesh before and I’m pleased to say they were exceeded. The craftsmanship is simply top notch; from the beautiful woods used to the precise attention to detail in the finish. The binding around the body is so smooth and flush it could almost have been painted on and even the bottom of the pickup cavities have been neatly finished (I can’t recall ever seeing this on stock guitars). The neck has been finished superbly in a way that’s nicely bought out the light flame on the wood. It really is a beautiful piece of work and it will almost be a shame to put pickups and hardware on it. Huge thanks to Martin and I’m really looking forward to asking him to build me more guitars in the future! Every guitarist should own at least one Sims guitar.

Possibly the first ever full chrome Rickenbacker 330 thanks to Martin. It was worth the wait and would gladly have paid double. Whatever guitar you dream of, Martin makes it come true!!
